We are all chained to one thing or another. Fastened firmly to our beliefs and traditions. Strongly hanging onto what we love and cherish. A chain that is unbreakable.
At the beginning of a new year we reflect on our chain links integrity. Perhaps adding, subtracting or reinforcing our chain. Our mindset is hopeful. Having a feeling of expectation, desire and even trust that the next year will be better than the last. In 2021 many things made hope waver. But most of us hung tight not letting it die. Because when hope dies there is little to nothing to hang on to. There is only stress that breaks a link in our chain, causing caous. Making the job of mending seem impossible. Ruining our wholeness.
So, my dear brothers and sisters, keep hope and your chain strong where it needs to be strong and choose your link’s carefully. That may lead to the best year ever.
Deuteronomy 31:6 says, “Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afriad of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
